I am a “Foodie” who travels extensively. Whenever I am visiting Lake City, I come to the Lake City Shrimper for nice and fresh home cooked-style meals. Their food is always consistently delicious each time. The portions are also both very generous and very reasonably priced. The manager is also quite hands-on and very customer service oriented. She took the time out to speak with me during their busy lunch-time rush to resolve a minor hitch. She didn’t have to do that. I always appreciate patronizing a business that places an emphasis on ensuring the maintenance of repeat customers.

The hometown atmosphere reminded me of the South, where I’m from. My wife had the Catfish Strips and fries, which were perfectly fried, light and crispy. If you have about an hour and a half to spare, while traveling on I-95, get off at exit 135 and follow the signs to Lake City, SC, and GO GET YOU SOME!!!!
If you like good southern food, you will enjoy the chicken, liver and gizzards. The locals come here in the food is great.! This restaurant has consistent quality. The fool has always been good fresh, seasoned, and hot. I have been coming here for years as I pass by on my way to Florence SC. Diverse customer base. You see all kinds of people coming in from all over. Staff is always pleasant and kind whether you go to the drive-through or walk in. Place seems to be always packed. This is one of a few places I don’t mind waiting in drive-through because I know my food will be hot. The fries can be overcooked . Every now and then things are not exactly right but after years of no complaints- I’m OK with that. #ttip: Don’t forget your hot sauce. eat a piece before you drive off to make sure to cook all way. If not, you need to take back in or wait until you get home and put under the air fryer. Either way I think you’ll enjoy it. Accessible parking up front but kind of hard to get to. Kid friendly. On Sunday you will see families sitting inside after church dinner. No outdoor seating available.
Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We left a 20 tip to make sure she knew we appreciated her efforts. It was a very "down home" comfy vibe. Thank you, all.
Food is always good and great prices!! You do have to wait for your food for a while, but is definitely worth the money and the trip!!
Some of the best fried chicken, shrimp and fish EVER! Not greasy but full of flavor. Delicious hushpuppies too. Very impressed plus portions are HUGE! We will stop every time we’re headed to the coast from Charlotte.
